Quepos Day 2: Dominical

Friday morning, the guys headed out for a fishing tour, so the ladies decided to check out the vendor and farmer's markets in Dominical, south of Quepos. The roads are straight easy driving between the beach towns. My in laws left earlier so when my group arrived we had to find the others. We got a little walk about through town.

Where's Waldo? There's an iguana in there!

Pretty flower.

Something Rose spotted.

Vendor booths along the beach. The sea is behind this line of booths. Did I say it was HOT?

Farmer's market

Frutas de Pan (Bread fruit) It is huge but you can't tell from the picture.

Grandma agreed to buy Rosabel a temporary tatoo. The artist's name was Jamie! So cool.

Back in Quepos. I was interested in the French Carribean architecture of that hotel.

At Clark's families' apartment we saw this flower.

Selection of fruits we bought for our families to try.

Our first tomate de arboles. One of my favorites we tried in Costa Rica.

I thought I had bought zapote because of the size of this. I can't remember the name.

The resident sloth where Clark's family stayed. There are two sloths. A male and female with a baby. We think this one is the male because we can't see the baby.

Meanwhile at my parent's hotel...

These squirrel monkeys visit the pool area a few times a week and we had the good luck to be hanging by the pool when the monkeys traveled through around dusk.

This male needed a drink.

Clark wanted some food, so the two of us went to downtown Quepos to check out the farmer's market that's open until 11pm. There was also a soccer game going down. This place is right on the seawall.

Casado with chicken for dinner. The beet salad was different. You never know what the cook will invent for their salad.
