My Walk to School

I am sharing here because I love this part of my day! One thing I love best about city living is the proximity to all the things! My walk to the school is almost a mile one way. I love the opportunity to walk everywhere. The smells, sights, and sounds engage my imagination. I love it!

My breakfast for champions!
Oat chia pudding, zapote, Greek yogurt, granola, and a drizzle of honey.

I think this sign is for playing children since there is park across the street, but it reminds me of bigfoot!

I am learning the weather in Coronado too. It seems to be sunny and clear earlier in the mornings and as the day wears on, the clouds roll in. If it rains, it is very light, sometimes misty, and the one real rain shower didn't last long (with the exception of one night in our first couple days). The weather is VERY fair. It is cooler in Coronado because it is a little higher in the valley then San Jose. The further out from San Jose, the higher in the valley one goes OR down to the beach, where it is HOT; in the 90's.

I noticed some real beef cows here (finally) in a pasture near a neat painted rock. The path into the school is lush! Gardens around the schoolhouse are well tended.

I learned my language level is A1.2 and the goal is to go up a sub-level per week. So, if I do well, I "might" be an A2 in a few weeks. Maybe I will get through A2 by the time I head home in May! Here's to hoping!

A funny tree growing on someone's garage roof.

On Friday, the first thing I saw as I turned the corner off my street was this gorgeous rainbow!
